SUMMARY:Bean to Cup – Behind the Scenes at Mr Miles
DESCRIPTION:We are very excited to announce an extra Early Bird event! \nGet ready for a fascinating journey into the world of coffee! \nColin Barrell from Mr Miles in Taunton will take us on an engaging talk and slide presentation following the incredible journey of the coffee bean — from bush to cup. Discover how those humble beans are grown\, harvested\, roasted and transformed into the drink we all love. \nWe’ll then pause to enjoy a well-earned break with tea or coffee\, accompanied by a delicious scone or slice of cake. \nAfterwards\, Colin will share the story of his life in business — the challenges\, successes and experiences that led him to (and through) his time at Mr Miles. There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions and hear more of his insights. \nTo round off the visit\, we’ll head downstairs for an exclusive look at the roasting process in their impressive state-of-the-art coffee roaster — seeing first-hand how the magic happens! \nAnd as a final treat\, everyone will leave with a small goodie bag to take home. \nIt promises to be an informative\, enjoyable and inspiring event — not to be missed! \n  \nCost: £15 per person. \nPayment choices are by bank transfer or cash to Bev at either the March or April meeting. \nIf you have already signed up and for any reason you no longer are able to go please let Bev know\, or cross your name off the list at the March meeting. \n  \nPlease let us know if you have any special dietary requirements. The event will be held upstairs (two short flights of eight steps). Please note that\, unfortunately\, there is no lift access. If you have any mobility concerns\, do let us know in advance and we will do our very best to assist. \n  \n
