You will find out about your local risk\, how to protect your home\, and what to do if you do find yourself in a flood. There are lots of practical ideas\, a chance to look at different flood resilience products\, and top tips on where to get cheap or even free help if your home is at risk. This talk is all about getting involved – so even if you think you and your own home are not at risk\, come to this talk so you can spread the word to your friends and family elsewhere! \nGuests and visitors are very welcome – your first visit to the Early Birds is free\, your second costs just £5.00. \nDon’t forget to bring your reusable cup for free tea and coffee.

SUMMARY:Visit to Clarks Shoemakers Museum - Street
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fabulous day out at the Clarks Shoemakers Museum in Street. \nShoemakers Museum is a brand new visitor experience which opened to the public in September 2025. A family-friend attraction that celebrates 200 years of shoemaking history through the eyes of the shoemakers\, telling the stories behind Clarks shoes in the place where it all began in Street\, Somerset. \nDiscover a remarkable collection of over 100\,000 objects\, highlights of which will be on display in the museum’s four galleries: Welcome to Street\, Making shoes\, Selling and Buying\, and Fossils. \nThere will be a guided tour at 11.30am\, cost: £14.00. \nVisitors booked on the tour get four hours free parking (Car Park No 2) which can be extended if you wish to stay longer for some shopping. Please arrive a bit earlier so you can go to the museum to get a ticket for your car. \nTo make this trip viable we need a minimum of ten and no more than twenty Early Birds to sign up.
