Early Birds November Meeting

Andrew Pearce, Head of Colleague Experience at YMCA Dulverton will be our November speaker. He will talk about the history of the YMCA movement as a whole and the history of  the YMCA Dulverton Group (previously Bridgwater YMCA). He will will also give an outline of the work they do across Somerset, North Somerset and Mid Devon and focus on the work they do locally and his role within the organisation.

YMCA Dulverton are a local community charity, delivering life changing services to children, young people and families throughout local communities every day. Based on a social enterprise model, all the income they generate goes back into funding our local community projects and initiatives. Their vision is ‘to be a leader in transforming communities so that all children, young people and families can truly belong, contribute and thrive.’ Their work covers a wide range of areas including; accommodation, housing advice, counselling, childcare, health advice, youth clubs, volunteering and alternative education.

Come along and find out about the amazing projects they run, from day nurseries, day camps, hotel accommodation, venue hire and housing. You might even get to find out about their involvement in lawn mower racing!
