Bluebell Walk in the Quantocks

Come and join Sue and the Early Birds on a walk on the Quantocks on Thursday 9th May. Meet in Cothelstone Hill car park at 10.30 am, TA5 1AU, What3words ref: ///twitchy.throat.shredding.

Route will take approximately 1.30 hours. We will walk (amble) up to the Seven Sisters, which has outstanding views, down through the Bluebell Wood and back to the car park. The Bluebells should be at their best, it’s a beautiful ancient wood covered in English Bluebells. It’s a bit steep in places, there are narrow paths in the wood, and it may be very muddy, slippery and wet. There are some fallen trees but not too difficult to climb over, there are no stiles on the route. We recommend long sleeves and trousers, strong shoes or boots/wellies. Dogs welcome, which must be kept on a lead at all times due to nesting birds. Sue’s husband will probably walk part of the way with us with their dog.
