Early Birds March Meeting – How Strong are You?

How strong are you?

Strength training can be a wonderful way for women to feel strong, confident and supported as they get older. It helps maintain muscle, keeps bones healthy and resilient, and supports balance and mobility for everyday life. Regular strength work can also boost energy, support heart health and lift mood — especially during times of hormonal change such as menopause. Most importantly, it helps women stay independent, active and feeling good in their bodies for years to come.

 

A coach from Potential One, based on Silk Mills Road, will be joining us to show how we can all become a little stronger, steadier and fitter – at any age! Potential One coaches specialise in fitness for people in their 50s, 60s and beyond, so everything is welcoming, supportive and doable.

No Lycra, no pressure – just come as you are! Please bring along two tins of beans, soup, tinned fruit or something similar, as we’ll use them to try out a few gentle exercises (yes, really!). Afterwards, if you’d like, your tins can be donated to the Foodbank – a workout that does good twice over.

 

Guests and visitors are very welcome – your first visit to the Early Birds is free, your second costs just £5.00.

Don’t forget to bring your reusable cup for free tea and coffee.
