Early Birds January Meeting

This month we have had a change of speaker and we are now having a presentation from the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance provides life-saving, pre-hospital critical care, to patients in need. Their team of highly skilled pilots, critical care practitioners, nurses, and doctors are operational for 19 hours a day (7.00am-2.00am), 365 days a year. The service they provide is 95% funded by charitable giving. Last year, the D&S air ambulance service was tasked to 2,424 incidents; with each mission costing approximately £3,500.
As you may know, one of our members, Eileen was airlifted to hospital following a car accident in December. We will be holding a collection for the Air Ambulance and if you have any unwanted Christmas presents and would like to donate them, then the team would love to have them – they have volunteers who sell good quality unwanted gifts online and donate the proceeds to the charity.
Guests and visitors are very welcome – your first visit to the Early Birds is free, your second costs just £5.00.
Don’t forget to bring your reusable cup for free tea and coffee.
