We had the most lovely first meeting of the Early

We had the most lovely first meeting of the Early Birds Book Group! We are going to meet regularly on the last Monday of the month at 10:30am at The Brewhouse Cafe. Our first book will be Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus - several of us have read this lovely book before, but we all enjoyed it so much that we’d like to read it again - and it’s a great first book for a group read. We have set up an Early Birds WhatsApp Book Group, if you’d like to be added please let Sally know. Details of the first meeting will be posted in there and on the Early Bird website.

Our wonderful speaker this morning was Alessandra, one of the Wildlife Assistants from RSPCA West Hatch Wildlife. We all thoroughly enjoyed the talk, it was so interesting to find out all about the work that they do at West Hatch looking after such a wide variety of animals and birds. It was lovely to hear someone speak with so much passion about the job they do. A huge thank you to our Early Birds who donated items for the centre, we hope they will come in useful!

A really lovely coffee morning at Green Days Cafe on the High Street in Taunton, it’s one of our favourite venues. Great to see our members all colour coordinated with the cafe! We got to wish happy birthday to the lovely Debbie who organises all of our coffee morning and meals, she even brought homemade cake for us to eat!
